Multiple things can effect this:

1) Faster internet connection. Talk to your internet service provider and see if you have the fastest available connection - faster speeds cost more money, so if you really want a faster speed, be willing to pay for it.

2) Close any programs you don't need open.

3) An overall faster running computer couldn't hurt, more memory, faster processor, etc..


Deleting items from your hard drive won't speed up your downloads. Items on your hard drive that aren't being used only take up hard drive space and are not using your memory (unless it is an active program you are using). There's no need to erase things if you don't have to.

Ask your parents for a better ISP.

Most ISP (Internet service providers) come with multiple plans for speeds.

for instance, my company has 3 mbps, 5 mbps, and 10 mbps downloads.

If you pay a bit more, you download a bit faster.

Yes, subscribe to a faster internet service. I recommend OC3 for really, really, really fast speeds.

Use the accelerated download feature of the download manager GetRight. It is a good download manager and free. Get it from www.getright.com

Probably the easiest way is to delete unwanted items on your vomputer to free up space. It will help. I suggest Ccleaner. Its free and will delete all unwanted files in under a minute.

you can only download as fast as your ISP will permit, and also take into account that the server you are downloading from may have half a dozen other downloads going on at the same time as your download,,,,
