I think that if you have a good foundation that you were raised upon, then no matter what you encounter in life, you'll always know what's important.

Depends on the individual's ability to think freely.

Some people never question their parents' values and live the rest of their lives in the same manner.

Others do question their parents' values and begin developing their own modified set of values, which are partly influenced by the current society and peers.
