Hi there. I'm due in exactly 12 days too. (April 7th) I'm having a girl as well... well I was late with my first 2 children so i believe i will be late with this one as well. Actually right on time with my 2nd only b/c my husband told me to tell my doctor something... it could be an idea for you? It worked for me. But my husband wanted the baby to come so badly that he said, "why dont you just tell them you fell down the stairs?" well, stupid as that sounds, i did tell them that. I called the hospital and felt horrible lying. They said to come in and they will check the baby. I went in for a fetal movement test and they said well since you are so close to your due date we will just induce you now. It worked, but it was wrong. My husband actually suggested me to do it again this time, and i wouldnt do that again. Even though I want her here so badly. I think you may be late yes, but then again im told it can just hit you so fast. I wish you and your baby the best of luck and CONGRATS!! :-)

Since you are so close you should be effaced already, if not then you will be soon, then comes losing your mucus plug then you will begin dilate. After that your all set.
NO there is NO science to getting pregnant, being pregnant or going in to labor. Even the due date is an estimate from the first day of your last menstrual, however that does not mean you ovulated when doctors think woman are!

I was 10 days early with my first (boy), I was in labor for19 hours. My water never broke and my labor pains were not bad until they broke my water for me. My 2nd (girl)was 3 days late and again my water never broke. My 3rd (girl) was a month early and yet again nope water did not brake. I think they just come when they want to. :-) Good Luck!!

I'm not sure, I am a first time mommy-to-be, but I have heard that alot, that if you are a first timer, it tends to come later than earlier! Sorry you have to wait! (hey try writing in a journal for her about what you are feeling each day, it is a nice addition to a pregnanc y journal or nice if you didntdo anything like that already.)

Sometimes they do go over due. If you are going to go overdue, you will. You can walk a lot, having lots of sex.. but if baby isn't ready then she aint coming. I had my son 11 days early, and that was good for a 1st!

I think all my friends were late with their first ones. Anywhere from 5 - 10 days.

My first baby was due on January 30th...and she arrived 4 hours after it became January 30th. I haven't ran into too many ladies whose babies actually came on their due dates. This will be interesting to see.
BTW all 3 of mine came on their due dates =) Good luck & congrats.

I had my first son 1 week early. It's all an individual thing.
