MCR, even though both bands are two of my favorites. I love Amy Lee's voice, but I think she sounds pretty much the same on most of the Evanescence's songs. For example, take two of MCR's songs, even two of their newer songs, like 'I Don't Love You' and 'Mama.' He uses a different expression based on what the songs are about. Amy has a beautiful voice, but she uses the same expression in the songs, and most of the songs have the same meaning, something related to death or suffering, while My Chemical Romance has everything from those themes that Evanescence uses to getting out of the feeling of death and suffering.

But seriously, even if Amy Lee wasn't hot, Evanescence have perfectly juxtaposed (never thought I'd use that word in a sentence) a beautiful voice against a crunch of guitars that remain a force to be reckoned with, even with two personnel changes (Terry Balsamo stepped in for guitar when Ben Moody left, and Simon McCourt switched from guitar to bass to replace Will Boyd).
It also helps that Amy decided to play keyboards herself on the last CD--now, she has more control over their expression and they don't sound so stock.
I've heard My Chemical Romance's last CD, and it sounds like too much of a gimmick, like they're trying to re-create Marilyn Manson's "The Golden Age of Grotesque." It just didn't do anything for me the way "Fallen" did when it first came out, and that was before I realized how hot Amy is. That's just the icing--the cake was established first.

My Chemical Romance by far
theyve had more of an impact, send a positive message, and save kids' lives. every lyric written has had meaning and a story, and the music that acompanys the lyrics is truly amazing. and the members, Gerard, Ray, Mikey, Bob, Frank, are all true, genuine, funny, talented guys. their personalities go much deeper then their looks. These guys are my heroes.
and Amy Lee has the most anoying voice EVER

My Chemical Romance because each album is different, i like the lyrics, the guitarists are the best of this generation (i think so anyways), you can see how the band members changed them selves, and i love their music videos each one has a deep meaning.

Evanescence, Amy had a beautiful voice, it is just so haunting and one of a kind no one has a voice like hers, plus her songs are just amazing, they are all wonderful, where as MCR sound like every other punk band out there and plus they tried way to hard on their latest album, instead of just writing songs they had to make a story out of the whole album, and that is just stupid, where as Evanescence CD was written about her experience since Fallen.

For me its My Chemical Romance because every song they made has its meaning to their lives, connected to us...
Evanescence is good, but MCR makes me happy because of their songs

... E for sure. I base that on the driving guitars mixed with their elements of classical music and Amy Lee's powerful vocals. That combo is hard to beat!!

My Chemical Romance because of their positive messages. Their harmony is solid. They stay on key. And they look like they're having fun. Their t-shirts are ugly. That's the only bad thing I can think of to say about them.
Most of Evanescence can't sing on key. They look like they have belly aches and they don't look cohesive as a group should.
