Yes, you still have to pay the $12.99 monthly fee for FF XI, regardless of what system you're playing it on, be it 360, PS2 or PC.
But I wouldn't recommend that you start playing it seeing as how it has less players every day. Pretty much, the game is dying out. If you want to play an MMO with tons of people then try out World of Warcraft. If you buy World of Warcraft, it now costs $20 and you get a free month to play. If you just want to try before buying, go to Best Buy and buy the two week trial for $2 or if you have a friend that can give you a trial code that came with their copy for free, get that one then.

u can buy 13 months of xbox live for 40 dollars, or 8 dollars a month I prefer buying a year
