Passion is a funny thing! Teaching isn't just a job for me it is my passion. To watch these kids grow and become successful is an amazing thing. I also think that part of me never grew up:) I still like to act like a kid sometimes:)

I like working with teenagers. I was a social worker and enjoyed helping kids in foster situatons and kids who needed counseling to cope with different life situations. I decided I'd like a profession where I could work with kids and hopefully made a positive impact on young lives. I was a foster child and that's how I became interested in social work. Well...I went back to school and obtained my teaching license so I could work with kids. I love it. All kids need someone who cares about them in their lives, for some, I am that person from 8 until 3. I feel I make a difference.

You really have to have a love of children and of learning. When my students learn something new, I see it click in their eyes and it makes me so happy. I love working with little ones. Everything is new and amazing to them.
