I used to have a 1964 Corvette Stingray and took that up to 155. The speed didn't scare me untill the front end got quiet. I think it was floating. I never tried that again.

back in the 70s I had a 1970 street runner with a 440 massive block with 3 duces six p.c.. that suitable out at one hundred ten or one hundred fifteen miles an hour yet at that velocity the front end might elevate off street surfaces and start up plaining out of control.

110 mph on the speedometer when I looked at it in a 1962 Corvette. Didn't think I was going that fast until I looked. Slowed down real quick!
