I have been having hot flashes and extreme indegestion and heartburn for a week and my period is due within a few days. I know everyones going to say just buy a preg. test but I have wasted so much money in the past and ended up dissapointed. I will buy one however if expected period is late. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced the same thing. Thanks =)

unfortunately you can have these symptoms more often when waiting for your period, then when your pregnant .sorry just wait for it to come, don't get disappointed .if you have not conceived there's always next month! best of luck to you either way.

well... that early, I'm not sure. But at 3 weeks pregnant I did get hot flashes. I would wait, because sometimes periods can do that too (regardless of whether that's happened before, cause you can always get new side effects.) Make sure your temp is fine, and you dont have a cold.

Most pregnant women suffer from bloating and increased gas in the belly at some point during pregnancy. Gas can cause abdominal pain or discomfort.

Causes of Gas During Pregnancy
During pregnancy, hormones relax the muscles in your digestive tract. This slows down your digestion and can cause gas to build up. Gas leads to bloating, burping, passing gas, discomfort, and pain in the belly—especially after a big meal.

Certain foods can make gas worse. But these vary from person to person. Some people naturally produce more gas than others. Some people get a lot of gas from foods that don't bother others.

In general, some starches (such as pasta and potatoes), some fiber-rich foods (such as oat bran and beans), and foods that contain certain sugars (such as cabbage and cauliflower) cause gas for many people. Women who have trouble digesting dairy products may have bloating and gas when they eat more of these products during pregnancy source: http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnan...

Actually, it may just be your upcoming period. I have had those symptoms before for a period, buuttt, of course you're right, if you're late, definetly get a test. I would wait (unless you're very regular) at least 3 days after you're expected period if you don't want to waste money. I hope you get the result you hope for..good luck

Hot flashes are caused by hormonal changes. You can get them while your pregnant, I get them for no reason sometimes and I am 21!
