If you're writing a paper you need to make sure that you credit your sources. If you're posting material directly from a site into the body of the paper, you need to use an 'in-text citation'.

"That effectively means that you're going to credit the source directly like this." (somewherein72)

The link at the bottom will put your information into the proper format, just plug in the information from your sources. Good luck.

As the fella above mentioned, I wouldn't cite Wikipedia in your paper either. It's really frowned upon by professors. If you choose to use Wikipedia, make sure that you cite their sources(if there are any) if not, then look elsewhere.

Depends on where and how you are using it. To answer questions here? A link to the source is fine. On your own website/journal/whatever? It depends on what you have taken. If it's information or pictures from wikipedia, a link to the page would be sufficient (though you should check the rights information on any images), but if you wanted to be really thorough if you had, say, posted an essay, you could cite your sources in MLA format (or Chicao or APA, depending on subject and personal preference). If the image or text you are using is credited to a specific person/entity within the site you are taking it from, it's a good idea to credit/link to the person who originally provided that content.

I would absolutely positiviely not use wikipedia. It is not verified information, and can be added by just about anyone. I take Wiki info with a grain of salt most of the time, unless its related to pop culture.
