I like wild patches and then I like to put pots of things here and there during the season... especially if they are scented and can be taken around from spot to spot .... and since they can fill in when something has stopped blooming ... not just flowers, but ferns are nice ...

Thank you for any thoughts...

much like type of friends we cultivate in life .. i always thought a garden should be sprawling and free flowing ..with variences of all types..some are just more comfortable with similiarities and formatt.. either way a garden should always fit your personality and comfort..

I like it to be both - neat looking but wild and ramling in some areas , Huge clay and/or ceramic pots full of blooming flowers and hanging greenery. In nooks and crannies I place statuettes, not too big- one is a cute little girl rather old rashioned, stands with pots atop of them, just a mixture of what ever phases me when i go the outdoor garden shops. My favorite time is when im in my garden. also have an arbor with climbing honeysuckle covering it and the fragrance when they bloom is lovely. Hope you like some of these ideas. happy gardening bettyk

I have many exotics and like a jungle look with Bananas; tree ferns aroids etc etc. I find the usual neat lawn and annuals flower bed extremely unimaginative and boring. However that's my personal taste and others may like tidiness and lots of colour.

Personally, I like a well managed mess of plants. I live in So. California, and I'm really into lots of variety when it comes to plants, trees, etc...

i like nice flat grass with no plants just a bit of patio and a dividing wall with fence on top to seperate the lawn from the patio so the dogs can use the patio but not get onto the grass that is for my daughter to play on, i have just had that done and all new fences round my garden it cost £3,000 but all my garden was rotavated and had old rockeries and hedges pulled out
