i would just like to get your point of view in how you think culture
and climate have an impact on the way we dress here in America and around the world.

With the world becoming increasingly more modern I think that culture is playing a much less significant part in how people dress. In America, Japan, and other 1st/2nd world country's, people only wear what looks good. Cultural attire only plays a role in less developed nations in which they cant afford the luxuries that we can, and as a result continue to wear what their people always have worn. Cheeya.

Well many people do not realize it, but New York culture is different than California culture is different than Oregon culture...in other words, climate can dictate initially more clothes/less clothes. That aside, here in California, we dress light and breezy, the east coast and midwest are definitely more dark and heavier...

Cotton gauze type blouses layered with camisole and sleeveless t's are popular with gauze skirts or linen lightweight pants with sandals are some of our base clothes here...gold bangles, plenty of sunscreen...Hawaii, Phillipines, India, Bermuda dress in similiar fashion due to humidity...Much more simple, comfortable and reflect an easygoing lifestyle.
