Certainly no more difficult than in other fields where males have dominated. I have only known about four architects personally, but they tended to be a bit less chauvinistic than the general population of professional men.

You do good work, you get accepted & recognized by peers.

More and more women are choosing this profession. As with many careers, you may notice a few problems with the older generation. I actually had a professor (now retired) tell our architecture design studio we had to get used to the idea of women in the field now when we had a woman guest lecturer. It was totally ridiculous, as over half the class was female. There are many all female firms. As long as you love what you do, and are good at it, you will be able to prove yourself as easily as in any other profession.

Its as simple as any other stream. Women architects are showing much more progress now.
