To have Lyla move into your town you are supposed to go to the flower festival on Spring 23. I went to attend the festival but the mayor said the festival was canceled. How do I meet her then???

The festival was cancelled because you didn't put a flower in the box in Town Square. You'll have to wait until next year. When the festival is coming up, make sure you pick a flower and put it in the box (there'll be a sign next to the box saying that the town is accepting donations for the flower festival). Also, she may not move in right after you meet her. Just go to the flower festival, ship lots of flowers and wool and good clay, and be patient. Her shop is kinda dumb anyway.....

You have to wait until next year. I ran into this problem too. You had to put flowers into the box next to the notice board. Also, then she doesn't move into your town until you ship lots of flowers and berries.
