With the way that a lot of vocal "Christians" have codemned homosexuality no wonder. Too many people have used the bible to bash and in some (rare) cases abuse homosexuals. I think it would be hard for a homosexual to accept something that everyone has told he or she is against them. Apparently homosexuality is the one thing that Jesus' words on love and forgiveness do not apply to if you listen to the big names representing Christianity in our society today.

So I guess the question is, if you are a Christian who accepts homosexual acts as a huge sin which will send those who commit it to hell, and your singling out and codemnation of it causes homosexuals to reject Christianity, are you not helping to send others to hell, and not being a good Christian?

Do not get me wrong, I am a Christian, but I have a hard time finding the love of another human being a sin regardless of the genders of the two in love. Yes, as with hetereosexual relationships there are ways to go about that love in the wrong way (Promiscuousness, adultery, etc...). But I believe that Jesus came to Earth to show us love and forgiveness and just wanted us to share that with other people. We are all sinners whether it is lying to others, or having promiscious relationships with people of any gender. Why should homosexual relations be much worse than any other sin if it is a sin? Because they are honest about it? If nothing else, I believe turning away others from Christ is a much bigger sin.

I myself am gay and I believe in God. Some people have a warped impression of what God thinks about them because of a book called the Bible. Unfortunately, people misinterpret its meaning and draw the wrong conclusions.

Because it says in the Bible which is the handbook if you will for Christianity, you are not suppossed to be with the same sex. It is against God's will. Now thats suppossing that you are talking about Yawhew, the Hebrew God. Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God that Christians, Catholics and Jews beleive in. There are others such as Muhammed for Muslims, and Buddha for Buddhists and so on and so forth, so you need to be a little more specific but this should answer your question.

Because many people use the Bible as a tool for hate... which in my opinion would be worse in the eyes of God than being gay.

They do go together unless you talk to christians. Anyone can believe in God. It's funny how christians say that Jesus died for all sins, then didn't he die for homosexuality too?

And this is for the first answerer, The Quran does not say "follow the Bible", jeez where did you learn that from?

becuase of all of the idiots that take religion to seriously think that God doesn't like gay people. None of us really know for sure but I think that if God hated gays so much why would he have created them. Religion just confuses me

Your not correct to say that, that's like saying people who love animals and like to go dancing don't like God.are people who consult astrology are evil.are God only loves Christians
a sin is simply anything at all that comes between you and Gods spirits guidance,so it doesn't matter what sex you prefer.are what kind of horse you like to ride.ONE jewish guy said he didnt like gays in the bible, and every one goes nuts,
but people are indoctrinated by religions. into thinking God doesn't like gays when that totally incorrect
it all depends on the persons relationship with God and the holy spirit, not sex, for Gods sake.
religions will mess you up, but the spirit of God never will, ask of it and listen for the answers and then do your best.no matter who you are God loves you,

Believing in god is different than believing in religion. Religion is manipulated by fanatical types according to their agendas, like: hating gays in the name of god, etc

Three of the four branches of Judaism in the US allow for gay rabbis. Thats got to stand for something given that Judaism gave rise to both Christianity and Islam.

A person can believe in God that he is real and be gay. What most people don't understand is how one can be christian and be gay. Christianity goes very much against homosexuals so its ironic to be gay and a christian
