Help! Monroe piercing.?

Question

I recently got a monroe piercing on March 17th. I switched to the shorter post today, but the backing keeps rubbing against my gums. It doesn't hurt but it is annoying and I know it isn't supposed to rub because that causes damage to teeth and gums. What am I supposed to do? Thanks!

Did you get measured for your replacement jewelery, or did you just pick something out? Your piercer should be able to find jewelery that will minimize any damage to your gums and teeth. They can even special order sizes if you need.

Alot of mouth piercings rub your gums for the first couple months after you change them. To prevent it from damaging your teeth you can but plastic studs.

You should switch it back until it has time to heal up so it doesn't get infected..
