I woke up with a hard lump about the size ofa quater on the inside of my skin between my leg and groin. It is a little sore only when i push on it otherwise you cant see or feel it, I am wondering what it may be and if i can get rid of it without going to the doctor. Thanks for taking the time to help me!!

It could be a boil from an ingrown hair. Leave it alone and go to the doctor if it gets any bigger or sorer.

lymph node. They're in your neck and under your arms as well. You have an infection that will only go away with antibiotics, get thee to an M.D. asap. I know you said "without going to the doctor" but this does require medical attention. And you can always say you have a sore throat since it's the lymph nodes anyway!

Sounds like a boil. These typically come from ingrown hairs. Wet a washcloth with water as hot as you can stand, wring it out, and lay it on top of the boil until it cools. Repeat until the boil comes to a head and bursts. Put on some neosporin and a band-aid, and treat like any open wound (cut, blister, etc.).

It maybe a boil. Do you shave right there?? I do not know a way to get rid of it with out going to the doctor. It may begin to get softer and fill like there is fluid in it. If so I would contact a doctor and see if they can drain it out. It usually occurs from shaving, and you can cut your self with out noticing and it will get infected and boils result from this. If it hurts or gets worse, go to the doctor.

This sounds like it could be one of your lymph nodes. The lymph node looks like a string with little beads on it.
I would recommend checking with your dr to have this evaluated to see if it is a lymph node you are noticing or if it's something else.

Sound like a Boil is forming, just for your own peace of mind I would have it checked. Could be a cyst if so that is dangerous..
