My ex-husband was paying me direct for the kids. At the time I had not sought Child Support...until he decided to re-marry again. Yeah, it's my fault I will admit to that. Know I am barely getting enough from Child Support.I was receiving anywhere from 5 to 7 hundred a month from him. But since I took it a step further I am only receiving 3hundred a month through Child Support. So know I am trying to drop the case but NM state CSED won't let me drop the case against him. And because I decided to take it a step further ex's drivers license was suspended and is know on suspension from work and I am not receinving any payments at all. How can I stop this please help.
I know it's all my fault.

The reason why NM won't drop it is because they are acting on the child's behalf, not yours. They have several motives.
1. Their responsibility for the welfare of the child.
2. NM doesn't want the child to become a financial burder on the state, so they continue to pursue the father for support.
3. It could even be argued that you can't give away your child's civil rights (you can't even give away your own).

If you receive public assistance (TANF) or money is owed for past paid public assistance, your ex will have to continue paying child support. If you are not on assistance and no money is owed for past public assistance, you should be able to close this case by going to the child support office and signing a request to terminate. If they say that you cannot, ask why and request a copy of the policy in writing and then contact your state level child support enforcement office.

Obviously, you were worried that when he remarried, he wouldn't pay his child support, so you did the right thing . Apparently, he didn't pay, otherwise he'd still have a driver's license, huh? It's not your fault that he quite paying and lost his license, that's his responsibility! He should go to the D.A. Child Support Division and talk to them about HIS PROBLEM and maybe he can get a limited license for driving to and from work!!! Don't beat yourself up over this, you heart was in the right place, thinking of your children's well being, as their father should also be doing!!!! You are a great MOM!!!

Sadly, you've found that starting something is easier than stopping it. Even if you regret it, you DID go to the court, and asked them to make child support formal. Sooo, they did. What now? Probably, you'll need to get along on what the court determines to be the amount he is to pay. Sorry, but this kind of thing happens when a person acts out of anger. Occasionally, it backfires.

Jealously is a very evil thing. You can not stop it, because the state has spent money on the case. I do hope you have learned your lesson.

By the way lala, she said her ex was paying her directly, not through a court order. And he was paying a lot more than he should have been. And since he was dumb and paying w/o a court order he probably has to pay arrearages for support that he already paid. Learn to read.

why are you blaming yourself? HOW is it your fault he doesnt pay?

they do all of this stuff from nonpayment. even if you dont say a word, they keep track of the payments and schedule hearings to enforce the child support.

its state and federal law.

you cant stop the child support, unless someone adopts the child (such as a new spouse of yours).
