I already know of runescape (not a bad game), maplestory (better), and sillkroad (i cant play so if you know how to fix it tell me). Also dont even mention adventure quest. And by free i mean no monthly fee or cost to down load. Thank you any one that helps.

First, the flash based free MMORPG: they’re Adventure Quest (that you've mentioned) and Dragon Fable (the game is under construction, but is fairly entertaining).
There’s also the pure browser based ones: Tibia is a fairly popular game, BiteFight and Knightfight are ok. Travian is a strategy MMOG, also pretty good. There’s also pokemon crater (but it has a lots of publicity) and, my personal favourite, FallenSword (it’s much like pokemoncrater, only that it doesn’t have lots of publicity, and has a guild system that stimulate interaction, not to mention the lottery and the auction system).
Then a big list with the downloadables (from wikipedia), there's Flyff, Anarchy Online, Monsters and Me... take a look at each of it's websites, see the screenshot section and play one.
Choose wisely and have fun.

I've Heard People Talking About A Game Called Second Life. I've Never Tryed It And Don't Really Know What Its About But You Could Try It.

I would have to say the best free MMORPG out right now is Royote Online. It uses the a ported engine from Oblivion and has almost the exact same gameplay as WoW with a few modifications to the skills and attributes and the race portions.

For free mmorpg, http://www.mmosite.com and http://www.onrpg.com is the top 2 site regarding free mmorpg. Check out the gamevaults of mmosite, they have a bunch great free mmorpgs out there. Such as, Scions of fate, Rappelz, Trickster Online, Corum Online, Fly for fun, ect.
I suggest view these vaults by yourself and make your own judgement to find out the best shot. For mine, my top 3 will be Scions of fate, Fly for fun and Rappelz.

Check out Entropia Universe.
Colonizing an alien planet filled with dinosuars & robots...not bad.
It's FTP, You can find ways to make money in the game, or deposit whenever you like ($5 gets you about $50 in game).

If you have a ps2, then you should get a game (if your lucky enough to find them) called final fantasy 7 and final fantasy 9.
The music is great, the graphics are great,good cutscenes, great storyline,and so on.Those 2 games are my favoritest games of all time.
