You have several options, here are a few ranging from cheapest to more expensive.
Cheapest:
1. Download anti-spyware or anti-virus and rid your PC of viruses and spyware.
2. Run Disk Cleanup to rid your computer of temporary internet files and other temporary files you don't need.
3. Run Disk Defragmenter to clear up the cluttered files and arrange them to run faster.
4. Go to Windows Update and get every update for your operating system.
More expensive:
1. Buy a faster motherboard/CPU
2. Buy more RAM or a faster speed of RAM.
3. Buy a faster hard drive or a larger one.
Hope these help!

If your computer is more than three years old it would be cheaper to get a new one than upgrade the current one. You can get a great desktop from Dell, com for around $400-500 or a decent laptop for around $6-750.

Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! It even can speed up your computer by 300% or more!

Take out your motherboard and throw it away. Spend $500 on a new motherboard/chipset and another $500 on ram. Get a scuzzy harddrive or one that spins around 10krpm. That'll speed it up.
