You can use a HDMI to DVI converter, but you can also use the component cables (if you have one for the PS2, you can use that on the PS3). Unless you have a 1080p TV, you really don't need HDMI, and even if you do use HDMI, I don't believe there is that much of a significant difference.

you can buy a dvi to hdmi adaptor 'monster' do one in their range which are available from comet these are high quality cables and adaptors prob cost you around the £30 mark you'll probably get some cheaper ones if you look around but don't know what the quality will be like.....
