I met a girl about 10 years ago in High School. I've been in love with this girl for a long time but I havent been able to get to know her at all and I recently contacted her by email.

Everytime I email her she is very short in her replies and I dont want to scare her away or make it feel uncomfortable since she said to my invitation to meet somewhere with "I dont think is a good idea for us to meet but you can write me every once in a while".

She is not married and apparentely she is not dating anyone but she is Jewish and I dont know if that is the source of her rejection.

Any suggestions on how to approach this situation so that I can be friends with her?

just let her know that you want to be friends with her but don't push her or else you'll end up loosing her. Who know what will happen? If anything else you will have a friend. Good Luck!
