The soldiers who were directly involved in the mishap? Or the President?

Hmm, don't be fooled by the cartoon character at the top of the page. I am very much aware of what goes on at war. I have lost friends to that war. I think it's sad that soldiers are brainwashed into THINKING that this war is really about a "little thing called 9/11" It's about money and oil. You've been dooped my friend if you think there is some noble cause over there. Or maybe you are still waiting for WMD? I'm not the one taking things lightly.

Actually no, I don't remember them, because I'm under 30. Which ironically endowes me with a better insight then those who are blinded by what patriotism used to be. I am against EVERY and ANY war, no matter what the reason for it is. If our government can PLAN out a war, then why not PLAN out a peacful course of action. I have no sympothy for those who go overseas, only for the minds they left behind in training camp.

I am a retired military NCO. I am a Vietnam vet and I have been shot at and shot back and not all of it was in combat. I can assure you we don't kill our own on purpose. When lead is flying people get hit. Sometimes it isn't the enemy that takes a bullet. That is one "UGLY" fact but it is a fact none the less.

We have a thing called Murphy's rules of combat:

One of those rules is:
"Friendly fire isn't"

I recall having to call in fire from a gunship on a position less than 100 meters from my position. I could have easily died that night. The operative word is "could". If I hadn't called for that fire I would have died that night. The operative word is "would". It's funny how much difference a single letter can make. I say would, because very few enlisted men were taken prisoner, they were executed even if they surrendered. Where is that in the Geneva Convention?

Let me ask you, who was responsible for the deaths that occurred during Blackhawk Down? Was it President Clinton??? No, of course not, he was a Democrat, couldn't possibly be responsible for anything bad. HeII he wasn't even responsible for committing perjury.

May I suggest you try being an American first and a Democrat second. I worked just as hard for President Johnson as I did for President Nixon. You remember those two don't you? Johnson was the one who escalated Vietnam and Nixon was the one who ended it. Funny how that works?

You might consider blaming the real culprits, try blaming the terrorists. Then you would be correct.

Unless you are in combat and know how bad it can get quick.
You have not right to even ask that question.
We were in Afganistan because of little event call 9/11 you may have miss it. A day when 3000 people die on the worst terrorist attack on US soil.

When there is a friendly fire incident I know how sick everyone gets and soul searching it is very sad.

So don't treat it so lightly.
