I picked this because it was the most romantic destination that I have ever been to so far and could imagine myself staying there alone even on business trips....elegance abounds and fabulous continental breakfasts every morning which I enjoyed taking up to my room and eating on my balcony overlooking the ocean waves approx. a few hundred yards out and only 6 or so feet off the sandy beach. Plus there's a hot tub to relax in with the same view of the beach. I It had underground parking and an elevator. (So I am tickled easily as I am used to motels where you carry everything up three flights of stairs to a room with a bed that is uncomfortable as heck and without any anmenities or beach view!) The only place comperable is a motel in Lincoln City, OR, called the SeaGull motel and the only thing I love about it is that price isn't too bad but you must stay in the only room they have with your own private hot tub on your balcony overlooking the ocean from a cliff. Romantic nights abound!

I'd say the greatest place on earth would be a small town in South Africa called Knysna. Its a coastal town, with great views and is known for its forest, seahorses and elephants. There are two mountainheads that is the opening for the ocean to enter the lagoon. Picture perfect!

um my idea of the greatest place on earth would be near the ocean, with sand underneath my feet, and a book to read.
