I think she is uncomfortable with attention from guys and doesn't realise how gorgeous she is, its a sensitive situation.

Well I wouldn't tell her that you 'fancy....'.
Try the more subtle approach - say - do you fancy going out on a date sometime.
If she says no then you say - ah darn because you are gorgeous looking and I wanted to show off to my friends as well.
Then she will probably just laugh because you complimented her if she is shy etc.... and you save face!!!
It will work, trust me and let me know how you get on!!!

Be subtle. I'm like this also. If a guy just shouts a compliment I get so embarrassed. Write her a note or something that tells her how pretty she is. Be sweet and subtle. Less is more. =D

she has a low self steem all girls have that these days take it from someone who no;s just tell her how u feel and if she still don't get the hint kiss her maybe she'll kiss u back (if happ before with me withmy bf) well now ex but we had fun and i'm glad we did it cos we are now even more mates than ever i hope helps if not sorry

Ask her to go to the pictures with you as there is a film you want to see. Chat nicely, don't come on too strong and be respectful. She will enjoy your company and then bingo, you are in there.

If you want to keep her as a friend then don't say anything. she obviously feels comfortable being with you as a friend, you might spoil what you already have if you say anything.
