Some require you to be 21. Some require you to be 18. Some require you to be 16. Dillards, specifically, requires their reps to be 21. Why? Don't know. They didn't give me a reason, and refused to give me a reason. Now that I'm almost 21, I'd never work at Dillards. I'm probably making about twice as much as their reps make doing accounts receivable. So whatever.

It all depends on what they want from their employees and what the state allows. In my state you can work as young as 14, with papers, but only for a certain number of hours per week. Most places want 18 or older because they can work 40+ hours, night hours, etc.

It depends upon where you live. In the US, the age is 16 for most jobs. If you are outside of the US, then the laws may vary depending upon the jurisdiction.

Some might. They need people that can sell clothes, and often times, younger people aren't mature enough to be able to do that.
