You should only get one if you research it really well. I am currently recieving one on the 9th of April from a local breeder and I have already invested at least $200 in supplies. It is important to learn as much as possibly about them before you purchase since they are much different than other types of pocket pets. They are very sensitive to things with strong smells such as ceder chips and drafty areas, both of which can cause the hedgehog to become sick and possibly die. Temperature is also a concern since they can go into a false hibernation and die. Also you should research vets in your area since a hedgehog is qualified as an exotic and not all vets treat them. Hedgehog diet and food is also a problem since there aren't many hedgehog foods available and you need to feed them a high protein/low fat diet. Including supplements of mealworms and fruits and veggies, but you must be careful about feeding too much because they tend to get a bit fat. A large cage, exercise wheel, and ample free time to socialize with it are a must.

As for colors, talk with a breeder. All prices depend on the breeder. Albinos and salt and pepper colors usually are the cheapest, with more distinct color varieties like snowflake and cinnacot being more expensive. Prices can range from $100-$300 or more so be prepared.

we had a regular coloured one and an albino they are great pets if you don't mind getting stuck with quills until they get used to you.
