I'm still in high school and plan on staying in high school...I wish there were cosmetology classes at night or something. Because I really want to learn from a teacher how to do make up to PERFECTION and the art of doing make up? Is there anyway I could do that without waiting until I'm done high school and becoming a full time cosmetology student?

Most cosmetology schools have night classes from 6 pm to 9 pm for the part time students. It will take you two years if you go part time but,you can finish sooner if you go full time on Saturdays and on holidays and during the summer. You can go to classes with your parents permission. You don't need a cosmetology license to do make up.

I would order instructional books and apply to work at makeup counters or work your way up at a department store. You could also put a free ad on craigslist.org saying that you want to be an apprentice or study/shadow a makeup person at a your local news or t.v. station for a day or however long they would allow.
