Why did they cast Topher Grace to be Venom?

The dude's fukn skinny.......................................Who do you think would've made a better venom?

Tobey Maguire is skinny too.

I would assume that, since they wanted Venom to be like Spiderman's mirror image, that they were looking for an actor of similar build to Tobey.

But...after reading up a little, it seems that the "real" comic-book Eddie Brock (aka Venom) is supposed to be a body builder. So I guess if they'd have gone with that version of Venom, they could have picked someone like the Rock or Randy Orton.
