And its true, it was the same song by Enter Shikari that made me wonder if there is any direct proof we cannot breathe in space? Is there any real evidence?
Before people give me a heck load of phyics and astronomy and stuff, I want direct proof, not what the facts and the assumpions say...
For example has anyone ever tried breathing in space?
Thanks for your time

Just to make it clear. I need a direct answer. Something that says we definatley cant, someone that has tried it. Direct proof against it.
And what prooves to us that nothing is in space to breathe on?

Soviet Astronauts died on the way back from space because their capsule sprang a leak. The capsule with their bodies made it back, but they were dead. Is that enough proof? Or would you like to be the first volunteer test subject?

Don't really ignore him .. but don't make him your main priority .. you know what I mean ? He's approaching you first .. GOOD .. keep it that way for now .. because he requested for space .. so don't contact him or anything first .. let him come to you .. the ball is in his court . What he means by space is .. your "crowding" him .. he can't breathe .. you two are always around each other and you two aren't getting the alone time that each couple needs every now and them .. give him some space to hang out with his family and friends .. and you do the same . of course he still loves you and want to be with you .. space isn't that big of a deal . just be chill .. let him approach you .. and when he does .. talk to him .. but don't act like ur not anxious to talk to him . good luck and god bless .. - andre .

Dude, if someone TRIED IT they wouldn't be ALIVE to tell you. Ever hear of Apollo 13? The ship began to break apart and they lost their air reserves. They all almost died.
Besides, you couldn't breath in space if there WAS gas in space, because the temperature there is well below -300 degrees celsius, very close to Absolute Zero. If you took a breath at that temperature, your lungs would freeze solid instantaniously, and you'd suffocate, if not freeze to death in seconds.

We know there is no air in space because when an astronaut leaves his spaceship he has to use an airlock so the air inside the spaceship isn't lost to space.
There have been minor incidents throughout the space program where the absence of air in space has been proven. For example, small meteor holes in one component of Skylab and the Mir space stations caused those sections to lose their air.
Plus the fact that as you climb a mountain or fly in an airplane there is less air than at the surface.
I don't think someone has to commit suicide by trying to breathe vacuum to prove it to me.

I think I'd be concerned about his level of commitment. He's already working out of town five days a week, how much more space can he need? I know he's not working twenty-four hours in the day and he's out of town, after work doesn't he go unwind? That just seems odd to me. I can understand if you two maybe were together everyday, but if you two are in a committed relationship I would think he'd want to spend his weekends with you, make you apart of his weekend activities. Everyone once in awhile I can understand maybe wanting a Sunday specifically to go hang out with family or friends but the situation sames weird to me... I think you should give him his space, when he's in town for the weekend, go off and do something yourself with friends, family, whatever. Don't call, and if he calls you then tell him you're busy. I think you're doing all the chasing and I think you need to see if he'd even chase you because if he doesn't miss you out of his life for a week, then I don't think he's as serious about the relationship as you assume. Good luck.

We cannot breathe in space for one simple reason: there is no atmosphere, so oxygen cannot be trapped into a pressure that is strong enough to leave enough oxygen molecules for our cells to function. No one has tried breathing in space because we would suffocate ourselves if we tried to take a breath and besides, there is so much stuff out there that we could inhale.

If man could really breath in space NASA and Russia have been spending a lot of time, manpower and money foolishly on breathing facilities for Astronauts and Cosmonauts.

To be COMPLETELY serious, most of the time, you cannot. However, there ARE other planets that have oxygen, very similar to earth, except that the grasses are different colors depending on your location in the known universe. Also, aliens are real. If you get abducted by an alien, then you often have side effects. One of them is, commonly, breathing in outer space.

You don't need to stick your hand in lava to know it's hot.
Test have been done and no, you or anyone else, cannot, without the proper equipment, breathe in space. There is nothing to breathe, there is no air.
