I know each baby is unique when they get their teeth in- I'm just wondering what the average schedule is on when they get their lower 2 and upper 2. Thanks!

Great question because I discovered my son's first tooth a couple days ago. He's a little over six months and I was so surprised to find that he cut a tooth!

My son cut his two bottom teeth at exactly 6 months and his two upper teeth at 7 months. From talking to other people with babies, I've heard one as early as 4 months and another as late as 12 months! It all depends on the baby and once they cut their first one, it seems like the teething never ends! My son is 16 months now and has 16 teeth.

Thought I would share my story since mine is not normal. My son is almost 4 months old and at 3 months i started seeing him sucking on his hand allot and drewling allot ignored it for a few days thought oh he just discovered his hand a few times it kept up for a week or so so curiousity got the best of me so i ran my fingers across his gums and sure enough on the right top side were two sharp points and you could see them still didnt believe it so had husband and daughter and mother in law feel and they felt and saw them also granted they still havent come all the way through yet but still an interesting story or so i think.
Good luck witht he teething

My son got seven (four top, three bottom) at 10 months. My daughter got the top two at 4 months the bottoms at 6 months. My brother had the first four when he was born. My ex-husband had all his teeth by 6 months. So you never really can tell. Your right in saying every baby is unique!

My daughter cut her first bottom tooth at 7mths. Then around Christmas cut the next three (she was eight and a bit months). Then by the end of January she had cut another 4. She is eleven an a bit months now and is cutting her two top molars. She was in agony last night. First night of broken sleep for a while. Feeling quite tired now.

Honestly 4 to 14 months is normal.

My son got his at 6 months, but he got them in reverse order.

my middle child got his top two teeth at 10 months. It was a chore at first to breast fed. But he learned not to bite. You may want to keep a wet wash rag in the freezer.. and let him bite on it. It helps..
