I teach a group at church and am putting together a slideshow of our 5th graders for thier parents to view. Last year I put the show to the song, "in a blink of an eye" by MercyMe. It was well recieved. I am looking for something different this year and am stumped. I would like it to be meaning ful for the children and thier parents. Any ideas would be great.

Chris Tomlin is a great Christian singer. I love his music.
"Your Grace is Enough" is one of my favorites of all time.
"Indescribable" is also very meaningful to me.

it really is amazingly controversial some church homes received't use modern Christian song, only the former hymns. there is not any longer some thing incorrect with both this manner of all of them raise up and glorify God, yet some do not believe that worship song should be quickly. the position is that interior the Bible? What are they basing that on, personal likes and dislikes? Why could any song that praises the Lord be incorrect? This to me is being very legalistic and so like the Pharisees. i in my opinion believe that God supplies the song and words to the artists for a reason and a season or time, and we could consistently no longer worry the change. there is Christian song in all type' of song, Rap, u . s ., Pop, Heavy metallic, Rock and Southern Rock. U2 Bono is a Christian, and his song reflects that, i do not really take care of his song yet i visit't condemn it. What i imagine we opt for to spotlight is what the lyrics reflect, and how the artist portrays themselves. Do they promote sexual promiscuity, profanity, hate, and medicines? we opt for to split our selves from song and artists like this because it ends up in temptation. As Christians this manner of song could reason the Holy Spirit interior of us to be agitated and to make us sense undesirable when we take heed to it. It does me and that i need to teach it off. once you've felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit and disregarded it you're grieving the Holy Spirit, and that isn't solid. i have listened to three of the heavy metallic and that i wager Screamo, i'm no longer efficient what that is, yet anticipate that is the screaming and not being waiting to comprehend the words, yet you understand that's darkish and indignant, it sounds like your Spirit is being sucked out of you. All darkish indignant song should be prevented because it drags us down with it and that i visit comprehend why young children who take heed to this manner of song opt for to kill. base line i believe there are artists in maximum type's that we can take heed to , yet we could be sensible in this and enable the Holy Spirit lead us.
