I learned in science that lightning is static electricity but whenever i shock my self its blue but when theres lightning in the sky its yellow not blue

It depends on what you're looking through. If you're looking theough heavy rain or fog, it';; look different thah if you hav a clear shot. Lightning usually looks white to me. Here are a ton of photo's to ponder....

Pretty much depends on how close you are to the lightning bolt. Rain, clouds and pollutants in the air all dim the brightness of lightning as well as giving it different colors. If you're close enough that these factors aren't as great, the bolt will be very bright white.
