Why is our body's blood mostly made up of red blood cell?

Well, 55% of human blood is made up of plasma and not cells.

Red blood cells feed the body, white blood cells clean it.

You want to breathe, don't you? Red blood cells are needed to carry oxygen to the cells and co2 out of the cells. We sure do need a lot of oxygen.
