I'm getting married and I'm hoping to be able to hold the rehearsal dinner at my house, but I'm concerned about how long we should wait before letting people walk on the new lawn. Anyone have any idea?

Depending on how firmly the soil was packed when the sod was laid, about 2 - 4 weeks. Make sure the sod takes. Keep it wet for 2 weeks then you can let it dry a couple days and people can walk on it, then if need be you can start watering it again after the wedding.

I wait at least 2 weeks until the sod has a chance to take hold of the soil and establish itself
