Why are black people racist and expect white people to give them everything?

Im not saying all of them are, but I find that working with a lot of them.

because they think that because they are a minority and they think they are the only ones who have suffered throughout history. Those type of blacks are very ignorant. This not only goes for blacks but other dark skin people. Have they not heard of the phrase "treat others the way you want to be treated?"

There's nothing racist about demanding reparations for damage caused. If Africans came over to America and shipped some of you here, no, not some, tens of millions of you and many of you were mistreated, used as prostitutes and died, would you not be bitter? I am African and I can tell you now that you are inferring way way to much from a 200-word article. Go to a library and read a book about the history of slavery. It is one thing insinuating that we are racist from a minute article, and another entirely different one to make educated remarks and/or inferences from a book with well-documented evidence of slavery and the cruel practices that were employed.

And we do not all 'think like that'. In fact, most of us don't really care- the past is the past. I am not going to demand any reparations from anyone because the slave trade did not affect me directly and had no bearing whatsoever on what I do with my life, only I can decide that. That said, I am incensed that you would casually make such a foolish and bigoted statement based on flimsy evidence.

Odds are that most of the people in your field are of a particular background. So if a lot of them are doing the same thing, then most of them have probably had similar experiences. So instead of trying to figure them out, why don't you expand your world.
Careful with that term! "Racist" Only use it if you know the full meaning. What you described is not being racist. You did well with the "I'm not saying..." Maybe you need another job, can you transfer or something?

I read the article and it says that one of the reasons why they don't like the celebration is because slavery is still not over in the world. In Africa, there are still some countries that practice slavery even thought the governments officially deny it. There are eye witness accounts from people who have investigated this and also from former slaves themselves.

One of them actually came to my school to speak about it. He wrote a book on his experiences, but I was unfortunately unable to hear him speak because I had to work.

I think some of the people got upset because the governments in the western world aren't talking about this enough. They feel like not enough pressure is being put on these countries. It's still going on and it's suprising how many people don't know about it.

Black people don't expect sh*t from white people and if any black person wnated to be racist against white people now why is it wrong, white people have hated and killed simply because they are black but no one said sh*t back then and they did it for 400 years, it's about time the tables be turned. See how it feels for someone to hate and kill your people simply because of your race. I shouldn't have to remind anyone that the 50s and 60s was not long ago...remember all the hatred back then. White people talk about how blacks need to get over it, when they're the ones who need to get over it, seems to me the only people talking about blacks is white people. If you don't like them so much stop talking about them.

You do realize the irony of adopting a sterotypical view of an entire race drawn from a small sample of its members WHILE asking about the racist qualities of said race...right?

It could be the people you're working with feel oppressed and view difficulties in their lives related to race. Maybe the best way to learn about this is to flat out ASK: "Hey, ...why do you say stuff like that? Seriously, I want to know."

I don't expect anything from white people but occasional arrogance and rudeness from some of them, though I don't consider myself racist either.

That's a really strong statement to make. You really must have balls. Personally, I don't expect a white person to give me anymore or any less than a black person. The only thing I've ever asked for is respect.

Coolest dudes I ever blazed with were black. I think for the most part, blacks just want whites to grasp what they are going through
