My sim has just had a baby? Do they stay babies for ever or will grow up cos its really annoying??

Yes, the baby will grow up to be a kid later on, but it takes 3 full Sim days of nurture. However, if you or your Sim fails to meet the baby's needs or he/she starves, Social Services will come and take him away.

To use a cheat code, press CTRL + SHIFT + C
To use a cheat code, press CTRL + SHIFT + C, and a small text box will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. Type the code into that box, and press ENTER.
rosebud Gives §1,000
move_objects on Allows you to move any object
map_edit on Lets you alter the buildable area
map_edit off Exits map edit mode and resumes game
interests Display a Sim's interests
water_tool Create water areas
grow_grass (0-150) Makes grass grow in brown areas
There are other cheat codes, but these are the most useful.
An exclamation point ! will repeat the last command, and a semicolon ; will let you stack commands. You can also use SHIFT + ARROW to highlight text, and CTRL + C and CTRL + V to copy and paste.
Thus a very quick way to make a lot of money is to use the rosebud cheat, then type in !;!;!;!;!; then hold down the SHIFT key, and press the LEFT ARROW key to extend the highlight over the !;!;!;!;!; press CTRL + C to copy it, then press CTRL + V to paste it over and over again until it you start hearing a thumping noise (the line is too full). Then backspace, and type a colon : When you press ENTER, you will get a message saying that you entered an invalid code, but your money will go up by several hundred thousand Simoleans. Hold down the ENTER key, and the message will flash on the screen over and over; each time it appears, your money will skyrocket. The game can only display §9,999,999, but you can have much much more.

When your Sims have a baby (either naturally or by adoption), you will have to take care of it for 3 days.
Since you'll likely have 2 adults to take care of the baby, you can alternate between them so they can both keep their jobs. You only get yelled at if they skip work for one day (fired if missed twice, except for those on "The Road to Fame").
Pretty much just have the kid in a room where the adult can nap, so that adult will wake up when the baby starts crying & you'll be able to take care of it's needs immediately.
If you fail to take care of the baby during that time will result in Social Services taking the kid away.
If you make it through the 3 days, the baby will grow up to be a kid & go through the game as one... unless you have Makin' Magic installed, which will allow you to turn themselves into an adult... but that's beyond the scope of your question.

They grow up. I have Sims 1, Sims 2 ,Sims 2 glamor Life,
Sims 2 pets, U need all of them

They grow up to be a child in three Sim days. They don't grow up to be a teenager, or an adult. And remember, always take care of it when it start crying!!
And never place it in a room where a adult Sim is sleeping, otherwise the adult Sim will wake up cranky when it starts crying!!

ha, well congraulations!! as people have said, they grow up fast (3 days) but if i were you, forget jobs and basically work the parents in shifts, one is awake while other is asleep and move the beds near the baby so you can get to it quickly!! if it cries for too long, social services come and take it away (can be very distressing for you if you have kept it going for ages!!)
Good luck!! You can make a kids bedroom while the baby is asleep!

they do grow up eventually,try to get another sim to look after the baby while your sim fills her hygiene,hunger etc up, otherwise social services come in and take your baby away, very frustrating after you've been playing for so long,good luck.

it takes about four days i just kept my Sim at home and then started it a new career for it if you don't take care it will be taken away oh and you poor Sim who cares for it will need loads of time to get over it food friendship etc the kid will go to school and if it dose loads of home work it gets money

the baby sims will grow up to be toddlers, and then into childern and then teens and finally an adult. It is pretty annoying when they are babies, but just make sure to always feed them enough, make sure they get enough rest and to always make sure to change their diaper and bathe them and they will grow into a toddler faster. now the toddler is annoying too, because you have to teach it to walk, talk and potty train. Sims are great! good luck!

It's only a baby for three days, no worries! But the kids are rather annying too!
