Did Prince Charles and Lady Di ever truly love each other, or was their marriage a sham from the get-go?

She said she was in love & did appear to be.
He said, when asked about being in love, "What is being in love anyway". This just days before the wedding.
Also, if a man is in love he does not spend the night before his wedding sleeping with the woman destined to be his second wife.
I believe that it was destined to fail from the start. He got married to Diana because she fit the bill of what the royal family required. She was young, a virgin, eager to please, a little overawed & ready to start a family.

It was an arranged marrige in the tradition of so many royal marriages before that. Charles had his lover, Camilla, who hecould not marry at that time, and his wife Diana whose job was to have a couple of heirs. The amazing thing is that so many people thought the marriage was more than it was - and still do.

There were only two people who knew for sure and one of them is dead. Why does anyone care what happens in someone else's marriage? I think people put too much on this, it was doomed to fail because real life & fairy tail don't mix.

Very weird type of "love".
An arranged marriage,to breed the 'House of Malborough' with the 'Windsors'.
A dysfunctional family,whose fate is to be given a large mansion in the country,once their last credible member no longer occupies the throne.(Liz).

well their were children. and their had to be a romance their but love is a big word when most are suited to each other for the thrown.
