Pregnancy isn't easy. Newborns are a ton of work. When does being a mom get easier?

I really can't answer the question because my son is only 6.5mo old but wanted to say that being a mom is hard at times but I have to say the good times out weigh the bad. I enjoy my son sooo much and am very blessed that I have a very good baby! It also helps when you become to "know" your baby especially when your a first time mom like me. It really helps when you automatically know what's wrong with them when they are upset.......I know my road will have a change soon though because he will become mobile soon but you live it and get through it! Just like anything else........

I also worried about motherhood when I was pregnant and newly home with our first baby from the hospital. Now he is 7 months old and I no longer ask myself this question. Everyday is so great to have a child as part of our life. I don't think being a mom is "hard" (yet!) That may change as he hits adolescence!! Good luck!

My mom saids when we hit thirty she expects the work to get easier. Really, though, I think you just have to stop waiting for it to get easier and cherish where your child is in life. We miss so much of our children's lives because we are focused on when this stage will end or thinking that once they reach a certain milestone it will become easier...A child changes your life, stop waiting for it to go back to the way it was...It won't.

In my daughter's daycare there is a bulletin board with quotes everyday. The best one, that has stuck with me for years, was "There is no such thing as a non working mother". Being a mother is hard work, however I do think that it gets better when you learn the ins and outs of your child. You tend to get along better with a person that you know and know how they would react to certain things, a baby is no different.

It gets somewhat easier when they are in school and you get a few hours of downtime during the day. But nobody ever said parenting was easy. Its not hard to be a bad parent but very difficult to be a good one.

Every stage of a child's life has their stresses.... but for me, things got easier (or at least a tad less stressful) once they started sleeping through the night! I can deal with anything during the day as long as I get my sleep at night!

It gets easier when you realize that this is your new life! You are a caregiver now and it's your job to make sure you and your family are happy. :o) Good Luck to you! **www.happysahm.com**
