Honestly, I would say it's a good experience, I might sound like I am insane, but when I got mine done at the age of 7, I felt very grown up. After wards, I looked FABULOUS in ALL my outfits. The pain was TOTALLY bearable with the gun. It feels like getting a shot. One quick sting and it's over. I went to Piercing Pagoda to get it done, and I highly recommend it. They did it perfectly, so my mom trusts them a ton now. I do not suggest you go to Claire's or Charles Jewelers, one of my friend's sisters went to Claire's and her ear got so infected, her ear swelled up like a tomato. Never again did she shop at Claire's. Don't be fooled by the "Get your ears pierced for free!" sign, they Peirce your ears HORRIBLY. And Charles Jewelers, my best friend got it there and she had to take it out, it was way too swollen. Trust me, 11-12 is a fine age. I have gotten mine pierced 4 times in the same spot. Don't worry, my ears only got infected because I was obsessively changing my earrings. And don't listen to those people saying that you will regret it. I t is not like getting a tattoo, it will look fine when you are 60, and if you change your mind, just take them out. So YES! Get your ears pierced!

Yes, that's a great age. I got mine done when I was in 2nd grade so I guess that would make me like 8 when I got it pierced. I got mine done with a gun..and yes the gun hurts WAY less than the needle. The gun is also safer and the piercing gets infected less. When I got mine done it didn't hurt at all, and I don't have a very high tolerance for pain, so good luck!

oh no. the cartilage piercing. see im 14, i got mine done at 13 last year. but when i was 8 all my friends got it done. some places you have to be 13 now...ik claires you have to but DONT go to claires. i went to piercing pagoda...they were good. but 12 and up is good...no younger than 11 but YES a gun definately hurts less. needles is like just poking something through your cartilage and its such a slow painful process since it goes throw about 3-4 layers of tissue in the ear.

I have 6 piercings and i have gotten my cartilage pierced 2 times. It doesn't hurt as much with a gun, and needles hurt like crazy, so i suggest using a gun to pierce it. I got my 1st cartilage piercing when i was...12 i think? Be sure to fallow the proper cleaning instructions too, you don't want it to get infected.

Hope this helps!!

Any age is fairly a excellent age to get your ears pierced. I bought mine performed while I used to be 6 and a few get it performed correct when they have been born. It all depends upon what you wish and what your mum and dad are pleased with.

I think 12 is probably old enough... but be warned that it does hurt.

A gun won't hurt nearly as bad as a needle because it goes through quicker!

Well, as long as its appropriate, it should be alright but it will hurt more...

Plus, there are stories of people dieing from getting a piercing infection.....

But, it probably wont happen, and its your choice.
