Hmm... how sad that people can be so ungrateful. Why on earth the cricket mad Indians (and Pakistanis too) cannot be sporty and take the outcome moderately. Why on earth Indians cannot take the defeat in the right spirit too as the victory? It's no secret to the world that when the Indian team does well, Indians go absolute crazy to celebrate - and make players semi-gods. On their heyday, the team had brought glory to their country and made Indians proud. Remember Word Cup 1999? Indians scored massive 373 for 6 against Sri Lanka and made the 1996 World Cup Champions to eat the humble pie. As a Sri Lankan, there were so many moments I hated Sachin and envy Indians because they owned a cricketer named Sachin Tendulkar – oh yeah, those days Indians used to call him "the batting prodigy". The bowlers in other international cricket teams respected him for the skill he possessed, which could demoralize any bowler with powerful blows and the ability to shatter bowlers' credentials and records for good. Out of hundreds and thousands of balls he had faced (which had made him a superhero) it is pity that one particular delivery could bring this hero right down to the ground as a villain.
True we enjoyed and celebrated the way Dilahara Fernando uprooted Sachin's timber which was like a thundering slap to a disabled. But the difference is, in defeat, though we get disgusted with our cricketers - Sri Lankans never convert those into action. We never stone, burn or attack players or their properties – we take it in the right spirit.
It is time that Indians and Pakistanis had a dialog on this irrational emotional behavior which reflects very badly on their culture. They need to learn to be moderate or upekkha (equanimity) – which is something Sri Lankans have learnt well (at least when it comes to cricket) from another noble son of India - the Lord Buddha.

Sachin Tendulkar only likes money, money and more money. Records show that his lust for money is insatiable. He can sell his own country for money.
