I don't have itunes, and want a website where I don't have to download a huge file from website in order to download songs (like Urge and Musicmatch). Plus the downloads have to be compatible with Windows Media Player 11 and I don't want to pay a monthly fee, just a fee per song.
(Also I have tried Napster and Wal-Mart and I can never open my account or order songs from them).

I already have limewire, but the files take forever to download over dial-up.

Well, a great downloading program is www.limewire.com. What you do is click where it says "Audio" type in the artist and name of the song that you want and then you can download as many songs as you want. Once you have the song(s) you want then you click on the "Library" button. Then what you can do is make a music folder on you computer and store your downloaded songs in there. Name the folder something that you will remember like "LimeWire Songs" or "Downloaded Songs" something easy. Then what you would do is select the songs in the library and pressing Ctrl (and clicking with the mouse) the songs that you are copying into the folder. Next you will have both the limewire program and the music folder open and you just drag the files from limewire into the music folder that you created. Then to listen to the songs you press Ctrl + (click with the mouse the songs that you want and then right click on one of the songs and click "Listen with Windows Media Player" then the Windows Media Player will come up and you can listen to all of the songs that you downloaded. You can also make your own cd's through the Windows Media Program too!!!

~Good Luck~

I use limewire it works really good and has alot of music choices!.But that file may be big if thats the case i also use bearshare!.Bear share works well ut is not as easy as limewire! (If you do chose bearshare make sure you only download the songs with a green cd next to them not a gold one cause if you download a gold one you cant put them on a cd or mp3 or any thing!) but i'd pick Limewire! Just go to google and look up limewire free download and you should be able to find it! (Both Limewie and Bearshare are free!!)
