Only if you feel that it needs to. It's human nature to feel like you are here for a purpose. But if you dont want it to have any meaning then it probably still will to someone else even if you dont believe it.

Life is what it is, meaning or not. Putting a meaning to your existence or trying to justify your life can amount to hours of amusing conversation and can confuse the hell out of the brightest of us. However, people that I know that have " fabricated " there own personal meaning to life, often tend to be very satisfied with the quality of their life and appear to find focus and pleasure there in. I personally cannot do this as I am easily distracted by my surroundings and are not able to create enough tunnel vision to focus just on one thing, for too long.
So to recap: no it does not need a meaning, but some people find it very helpful in life to find or make one for there personal use.

Only as much as you want to give it.

You may choose the path of learning; master a skill and teach others. You might choose the path of least resistance and make as small a contribution to mankind and history as possible.

You might learn to appreciate and/or create art (painting, music, theatre, etc.). You might choose to marry and raise children or remain single.

You might develop a sense of sympathy and benevolence toward mankind or become a misanthrope.

YOU are the one that gives "meaning" to your life.

Yes it does and I know what that meaning is!!! You see your true purpose or meaning to life is to manifest the good of God in this physical realm. It's recognizing that you are created in His image and likeness and therefore has the privilege of being" little gods" in the earth making things that seem impossible , possible!!!!!!!

life isnt worth living without a meaning, but every life has a meaning, so yes. every life NEEDS to have a meaning because life would be nothing without meaning..... just meaningless meanings.........

Since this is listed in philosophy....

I'm not sure it does. I think it's nice if people feel they have a purpose in life, but no one has come back to complain...maybe it's like the catholic version of limbo? But hopefully we learn things during our time here which will advance us for a future purpose...if we need one?

Think about yourself on your deathbed....looking back over your life.
What do you see? Are you happy with that?

If the answer to the second question is yes, then you have lead a meaningful life

You wouldn't like it if everyone didn't believe it did. Nothing would function how it does now, it'd be a world full of depressed, seemingly hopeless individuals. Our lines would most certainly end, and the human race would be no more.

nope - we like to give it meaning(s) to validate ourselves and the effort we put into it, but life goes right on with or without you whether you're worried about "what's it all mean" or not...
