Perhaps their own lives are so sad and pitiful that they feel they must live others' lives for them.....

I don't know its weird. I love gay guys, and I always say "A gay guy is a girls best frient" lol. I don't really care I say more power to you do what you want. I think it's cute specially two guys it seems they give more affection when their gay. There is something that bothers me sometimes is that I have grown up knowing marriage as man and women and though I don't oppose gay marriage I am somewhat uneasy about marriage not being man and women anymore. It's like there was a dollar store in our town and one day recently it closed and though I didn't go there often, I did go, and now I miss it cause I grew up with it and being like ooooo look the dollar store. Change is good sometimes but sometimes change can bring trouble so I understand both ways and why some people are concerned. We'll see what the future brings but I don't have a problem with it whatever problems come I'm sure we'll handle them together. I don't know what god thinks of me but he gave me my mind, my brain and the thoughts in my mind so he can't be to upset right. After all he made me the way I am he's so powerful he could zap me if he wanted. Lol. well do what you do. :)

I'm straight and ask myself this as well. I think it has something to do with religious dogma. It's disgusting personally. I feel religious people feel they are so justified that they impose their beliefs on others-which, in a way, is completely contradictory to their supposed message of love and understanding. And even if they are claiming they are "loving" and "understanding" because it is God's will, they contradict themselves by forcing the "hand of God" at the disposal of their own will-which is another big no-no in religion, but that is what they are doing. If they are so concerned then they should let God decide what to do with you, it is not their decision. This is the same with the death penalty. It's ironic Christians support it since they are acting on God's behalf when they should be the ones letting God take render his own judgment on judgment day. Logically, one can come to the conclusion, with their own laws and rules, that they are the true sinners, not gays or other groups they hate.
I am not religious, but rather an independent thinker. I am a scientist, and pure energy is the only God I know, and it is people that are only capable of communicating and sharing that notion, so, love thy neighbor.

I don't think it has anything to do with how they view their lives heterosexual people care because it will affect their power. Not allowing homosexual people to marry gives them the power they feel they need. Only what most don't understand is that allowing marriage would save them money on health care, insurance, taxes, etc... POWER is everything for heterosexuals...all homosexuals want is equality.

It's not that they care, it's a subject they are afraid of, so they object. They go to church and are told that it's a sin, etc. so they believe it without getting to know that person. Unfortunatly though, the laws in all of the states usually don't allow these unions and if they do, it is just so the partner can get health benefits.

It comes to beliefs. I am sure that you have beliefs also. Some people are loud about theirs and the reason you may be offended is becuase they do not share yours. For example, someone who is gay may share beliefs about things that are acceptable, therefore, you may not even realize they care. Other people disagree and then you realize they care about their beliefs as they are verbal about them. Either way, anyone is allowed to express beliefs and that is why they may appear to "care" about others' actions.

I AGREE WITH YOU. most religions forbid it...like mine does...Islam. however i don't judge this isn't my job. that title has been taken by Allah (God) He will jugde accordingly. as for the most part. people are consumed by their religious beliefs and want to consumer other's to the way they think. this is why people care. and that can get on someones nerves to caring too much. i just think it another sex preferrence. if religion didn't have a problem with it. then ppl would not care. but it's the opposite. and unfortantly it won't change.

generally people who disagree like to be very open about it. i guess its human nature. gay marriage isn't that common yet so some people still feel it is not acceptable becuase of the envirnment or life they r in.

I agree....
If you don't support Gay marriage, DON"T GET ONE!!
They care because their own lives are messed up and they want to take others down to make themselves feel better.

I think alot of anger towards gays is that Gays are outspoken and want to be heard etc..and that pisses off the conservative masses who think ALL matters sex just need to stay in the bedroom and under hush hush etc....

I agree, it's really no one bussiness, except for the parties involved. It's certainly not my bussiness and I could care less,
as long as I don't have to see the fudgepackers holding hands and PDA's, ( that's some sick sh*t.). Nor do I care if some good ole boys decide to get drunk and go "homo huntin'" on a saturday night... that doesn't bother me either..
