africans did not sell other africans to europeans that is B.S theory whites use lol! the europeans used a divide and conquer tactic to help the weak tribes at war take out the strong tribes, white americans love to use that africans sold other africans to europeans its not like they knew what was gonna happen

and indentured servitude is not the same as slavery stupid. Europeans in servitude like the irish were not slaves LOL there were also african servitudes long before europeans like the irish in america as the early 1600's but they wee then sold into slavery from the northeast states like new york , maine and vermont!

step yo knowledge game up

slavery of africans in the caribbean and latin america are similar but also dissimilar the spanish, french and portuguese allowed the africans to practice their ways but the english/ british did not and sometimes the french as well depending on the colony they had!

holocaust cannot be compared to slavery because the transatlantic slave trade was not based on religion.

SOME DUDE SAID THIS:
THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT IT THE MOST, funny thing is not a one of them was ever a slave. I don't take credit for inventing the light bulb just because I am descended from white people and the inventor was white. They can't claim slavery as a prohibitive factor in their life because they are descended from slaves

re:
lmao well i see you are blind and deaf the effects if slavery paved its toll into the post slavery eras leading all the way up to civil rights era to the 70's the race riots started by whites which destroyed black businesses and communities they lived in yeah the post slavery era was worser than slavery

The major difference was that slavery in the Americas was race-based. There are many websites that can give you an overview as well as specific information about slavery in various civilizations. Historically slavery was based on conquest or the enslavement of segments of the population, sometimes because the slave’s mother was a slave or the person was sold into slavery. One example of ancient slavery is the Old Testament description of the Hebrews as being slaves in Egypt but it is not entirely clear how that came about.

It doesn't differ except in how we view it today. Many Africans sold into slavery were sold by Africans. There were also white slaves but they were called indentured servants and supposedly could work off their debt and free themselves. If you study African history, African tribes owned slaves from other tribes for various reasons. There were African slaves in the middle east and while Romans may not have enslaved the Greeks, the Egyptians did enslave the Israelites. I guess the main difference is that the stigma remained in the US.

It's not any better or any worse than other nations and cultures. You hear about the enslavement of Africans in America because we are in America and it's the one that's prominent to us. Slavery still exist today in many cultures. You probably just don' t hear alot about it. Pick up a news paper, book or turn your television to CNN. It's always been there right in front of your face.

slavery exist before jesus christ, italians ensalve teh ethiopians, egyptians and people from middle east, in the holly war the muslims took over italy and spain, and paid back, Im not racist but to bring the blacks to usa , give them equal rights and not all of them being educated dont help them too much to overcome teh issue they were slaves they are upset and resentful of their ancestors pain, however slavery is over, they didnt overcome that, their mentality got affected, they all the time think white people shoudl pay them back, white people has a lot of welfare going to the wrong people, the system is a mess,, making of the black men of america an insecure person. the most succesful black people in america are first or second generation of jamaicans, haitians and african immigrants from Ghanna etc . my point is that those societies dont know the racism over there since the majority is black, they know the social class difference, when they come to america they dont feel less, so no matter what white people ssay the rights are equal they study and get their goals, white the black men from here, go to jail, is aggressive, hat ethe white, the mexican. dont go to college and feel proud of the achievements of the black immigrants..the slavery here was directed to native indians and blacks, and they let the blacks stay alive and kill most of the native indians..in southamerica they killed millions of indians. they let them live..I think it was more convenient for them to be slaves here than in brazil or in another country

Not a whole lot, although some ***** slaves (***** is *not* a pejorative term!) were treated a *whole* lot better than were the *greater* number of white people captured and enslaved by Negroes over the centuries, e.g., not many ***** slaves were eaten by their white owners!

In addition to the form of chattel slavery, that was
found on the continental United States during
the antebellum era, having been 'Race-Based'
----- it was also 'MATRILINEAL-BASED'.

In other words, anyone born to a mother
that had been enslaved, was also then
seen as enslaved -- from birth to death.

This racist and sexist 'construct' resulted
in the creation of a system of continual
sexual assaults against the women who
were being held in chattel-slavery.

These sexual assaults were committed
both by those who were the plantation
owners and also, especially, by those
who were the plantation overseers.

As a result of the continual sexual assaults
committed against the enslaved women
-- the 'MIXED-RACE' / 'MULATTO'
enslaved population GREW TO BE
MORE THAN THREE (3) TIMES
LARGER than that of the enslaved
population that was 'FULL-BLACK' .

This fact is also one of the key reasons
that the large majority (+70%) of those
who are the "descendents of the survivors"
(of the racist / sexist chattel slavery system
that was found on the continental United
States during the antebellum era) are
well-known and well-accepted as being
a largely MIXED-RACE 'Ethnic' group
(whose lineage is, on average, +25%
European and +20-30% Amerindian).
