Don't wrap it around the face or the slumber will be permanent.

sure you can! Swaddle blankets are made specifically for this purpose and they are great. They only cost about 10 dollars a piece. I tuck blankets around my daughter at night(she is 15 weeks) and we have never had any problems. All of these "rules" they have out there now are there just in case. If you wrap your baby in blankets there is a chance they could smother, but probably not. They are just put out there to keep you aware,. I wish you luck

You could snuggly wrap your baby in a blanket. It's called swaddling. Baby's are more comfortable wrapped snuggly, because in the womb it was a pretty snug area. There are websites that you could check out that will show you how to do it. Most of the times as long as you leave their arms out they are happy. Just make sure that the blanket can't come undone and cover the baby's face.

They say from the chest down and / or tuck the sides of the blanket if you can under the mattress.

try buying one of the swaddlers that have velcro to keep it in place thru the night. You can get them in all kinds of colors and patterns.
