Examiners are looking for detail, so pay attention to individual words/phrases/techniques used by writers. Use quotes to support your ideas but explain them by discussing the connotations and overall effect of specific words within the quote. Keep referring back to the main question in your answer and if there are sub-questions or bullet points then make sure you address each one.
Plan your answers as it helps to organise your ideas and adds cohesion to your overall answer.
