I have a 3D DNA model that is due on Friday... what should i make it out of? It can be made out of anything, unless it is immoral or illeagal.

Here is an idea instead of having to paint styrofoam balls you could simply buy play dough. You know, that molding clay that is coloured that kids use in kindergarden and some tigs found in your back yard or park etc. or buy toothpicks.
All are cheap and easy to find.
I did it for my project to contruct a 3D model of DNA, got an A+

What could you possibly use that is immoral to make DNA?

Try wire and painted styrofoam balls. Buy small ones - you'll want to put a bunch together.

Remember that DNA has four different bases (adenine, thymine, cytosine, guanine), plus sugar in between the bases, and phosphate. So you'll need 6 colors of paint.

EDIT: Regarding the answer below me - sure, you could use play-doh, and that'd be easier, but what's the fun in that?

So, for my version, you'll also need hobby wire, and pliers, a pair of snips, ventilation, newspaper....

Just select the guy below me and be done with it.
