They have some good young players i.e. Richards, Carter, Gagne. They need to drop dead weight like Hatcher and model there team after the Sabres. Fast, quick puck movement, tight D. New NHL is all about which team can move the puck up the ice the quickest. If you notice most of the goals now are scored off the rush, as opposed to the old big man cycle. They will be back in the think of things in 3 years. Competing for a playoff spot. They should take full advantage of their high pick from this year and really emphasize the development of their youth.

Their first step to future success is locking up Biron for a couple more years, drafting Pat Kane in this years draft, and bringing in someone via free agency to fill the void that Forsberg left to help Gagne shade off all of the attention.

Some teams like the Sabres and Pens took a few seasons to come back, and it's a lot of work to bounce back from the league basement (where the Flyers have been all season). It looks doubtful, but maybe in a few years

properly, that became an outstanding sequence. Hats off to Flyers u . s ., large sequence you men. i imagine the Flyers may could advance on their protection. Carter did turn the %. over slightly bit to a lot. and they could attempt to get a goalie interior the offseason, per chance interior the draft. Now, for the Penguins. i imagine this sequence is gonna help them interior the subsequent round, whoever they face. it really is gonna prepeare the Pens for what should be a lengthy playoff run in the route of Lord Stanley's Cup.

Why not? Just look at the Penguins from last year to this year...such a HUGE improvement. We picked up some good kids in the off season and made some pretty decent trades at the deadline this season. It's all about building and refining...anything is possible.

Let's Go Pens!!!

They only have Biron until the end of the season unless they sign him, on July1st, he is free to sign with any team and he will draw interest (unless they did already and I didn't see it). That said, they will have alot of cap room to work with and some good prospects so IF they sign the right free agents then they will be OK.

They will. They picked up a great goaltender(Biron). And they have some talent. I am a huge Sabres fan so i no what Marty (Biron) is about.

Maybe, look at Pittsburgh- they were at the bottom last year and are near the Top. I am not a Flyers fan but i would not rule out a return to the playoffs next year.

They will be back in the playoff hunt in two or three seasons, they lost the 1-2 punch of Forsberg, Gagne. Sorry to say but Gagne is more like gag-me without someone to set him up.

I hope that the Flyers are better then they were this season. I don't know by how much they will improve or not. It will all depend on what gets done in free agency.
