true story: the guy that invented the table soccer game Subbuteo was a birdwatcher. He wanted to call the game Hobby, because that was his favourite bird (and has a double meaning where games are concerned) but the manufacturer wouldn't allow it so he called it Subbuteo instead, which is the genus name for the hobby.
