You made me think. I have a tub of mango ice cream in the freezer that i have been resisting for a week, but your right you never know the moment so I'm just about to go break the seal. I'd hate to think i was going to be mangled to mush and mingled with the mango before i had my first mouthful.

You wouldn't be thrown. The sheer force of an atom splitting is enough to turn buildings into dust. For example, in Hiroshima they found fingers at the most. There was rubble from buildings. Some were simply not there. The human body would be blown to nothing.

A better question would be: what we happen to the world's muslims? Since they would be the source of such an attack, I think there would be in the future a signboard and a radiactive park in the middle east. The sign would say: 'No entry high radioactivity zone. For historical interest, this was once the location of the arab and muslim nations. Stay safe!'

If you get yourself a CND "Nuclear Free Zone" window sticker and some white net curtains you should be alright but to be on the safe side you could buy some Ping Pong bats and cover them with tin foil - this will help you hit back the atoms if they came through your window..after all they are very very small. Peace brother Jesus loves you

It depends on the kiloton of the TN(tatical nuclear). Lets say if I was in my house and a nuke went off in St. Paul, that would mean that I am in the radius of a 20mile kill zone. If i was in the center of the city in St. Paul that is in range of 10miles of radius of the nuke, that would mean I would be evaporized, with nothing of me or buildings. The basement of a house would not matter of your safty becuase in the long run, you would be killed, it all comes down to the distance of how far you are away from the blast.

I have my survival kit at the ready for such an occasion - living in an old house - I think the thick walls would protect me form the initial blast!

you would be dead, with a atom bomb you get a possitive wave and a negitive wave so the blast pushes out for several miles then drags every thing back in the centre of the explosion causing a mushroom effect.
